1. Who we are

 

Mave (available at mavejob.com) is a job navigation and career development platform operated by Altair Tech Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

References to "Mave", "we", "us", or "our" in these Terms refer to Altair Tech Solutions Ltd. References to "you" or "user" refer to the individual accessing or using the Mave platform.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

 

By creating a Mave account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our [Privacy Policy]([Privacy Policy URL — to be confirmed]), and any other policies referenced herein.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Mave.

These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Altair Tech Solutions Ltd under the laws of England and Wales.

3. Eligibility

 

To use Mave you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Be a natural person using the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes (see Section 7)

• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your country of residence

• Hold a valid payment card capable of processing transactions through Stripe (required to purchase credits)

By creating an account, you confirm that you meet all of the above requirements. If we become aware that a user does not meet these requirements, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate their account immediately.

4. The Mave service

 

Mave provides the following features to registered users:

• Job matching — AI-powered matching of your resume against current Product Management job listings

• Tailored CV generation — AI-generated versions of your CV tailored to specific job descriptions

• Gap analysis — AI-generated analysis identifying gaps between your experience and a target role

• CV improvement — tools to refine and personalise your AI-generated CV

• Cover letter generation — AI-generated cover letters tailored to specific job applications

• In-app coaching — per-job chat interface for AI-powered application feedback

These features are powered in part by OpenAI's API. The quality and accuracy of AI-generated content depends on the information you provide and the inherent limitations of large language model technology. See Section 8 for important disclaimers.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice to existing users.

5. Accounts

 

5.1 Registration

 

You register for Mave using your Google account via Google OAuth. By signing in, you authorise us to receive your email address from Google for the purpose of creating and managing your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must notify us immediately at info@mavejob.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

5.2 Account accuracy

 

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when using Mave, including the resume content and background information you upload. We are not responsible for the consequences of inaccurate information being processed by the platform.

5.3 One account per person

 

Mave accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with another person.

6. Credits and payments

 

6.1 The credit system

 

Access to Mave's features is governed by a credit system. Credits are deducted when you use the platform as follows:

Browse Jobs — how the daily charge works: The Browse Jobs tab shows your personalised, ranked list of current job matches. A charge of 10 credits is deducted the first time you visit the Browse Jobs tab in any 24-hour period. If you visit the tab multiple times within the same 24-hour window, you are only charged once. If you do not visit the Browse Jobs tab on a given day, no charge is applied.

If your credit balance falls below 10 credits, you will still be able to view your most recent job matches but they will not be refreshed until you top up your balance.

This charge applies equally to free-tier and paid users.

6.2 Free credits

 

New users receive 100 free credits (£1.00) upon creating an account. Free credits are valid for 7 days from the date of account creation. Any unused free credits will expire automatically after this period.

Within the free tier a user can typically complete: one resume analysis, several Browse Jobs sessions, and at least one full job application cycle (tailored CV + gap analysis + cover letter). Free credits are provided at our discretion and the amount may be adjusted for future users with reasonable notice.

6.3 Purchasing credits

 

Credits can be purchased through Stripe, our payment processor. The following rules apply:

• Minimum top-up: £5.00 (500 credits)

• Maximum top-up: £20.00 (2,000 credits)

• Reload restriction: you may not purchase additional credits until your balance falls below £1.00 (100 credits)

These limits exist to manage our exposure and ensure a fair experience for all users. They are enforced at both the application and payment processing level.

6.4 Payment processing

 

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store, handle, or have access to your payment card details. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

6.5 Consumer cancellation rights

 

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014, you have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content. However, by completing a credit purchase on Mave, you expressly request immediate delivery of those credits and acknowledge that:

1. Credits are delivered and available for use immediately upon purchase

2. You consent to waive your 14-day right to cancel in respect of any credits you have already used

Your statutory rights in respect of any unused credits remain unaffected — see Section 6.6.

6.6 Refund policy

 

Used credits are non-refundable. Once you have exhausted your free credit allowance and purchased credits, credits you have spent on completed AI actions will not be refunded, except where:

• An AI action fails to complete due to a technical error on our part (in which case credits are automatically reinstated)

Unused credits are refundable on request, subject to a minimum refund threshold of £1.00. Refund requests below £1.00 in unused credit value cannot be processed due to payment processing costs. To request a refund of unused credits, contact us at info@mavejob.com.

Credits are not cash and have no monetary value outside of the Mave platform. They cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for any other product or service.

6.7 Credit expiry

 

Unused credits associated with an inactive account will be forfeited upon account deletion under our inactivity policy (see our [Privacy Policy]([Privacy Policy URL — to be confirmed]), Section 8). You will receive an email warning 12 months after your last login, with a further 90-day window before your account and credits are permanently deleted.

7. Acceptable use

 

7.1 Personal use only

 

Mave is currently offered for personal, non-commercial use only. You may use Mave solely to support your own job search and career development. You may not:

• Use Mave to generate CVs, cover letters, or other content on behalf of third parties for commercial gain (e.g. operating a CV-writing service using Mave)

• Resell, sublicense, white-label, or otherwise commercialise any output generated by Mave

• Share your account with others or allow third parties to use your account

We plan to introduce a dedicated professional tier for recruiters, career coaches, and organisations in the future. Until that tier is available, any use of Mave for professional or commercial purposes is not covered by these Terms and is undertaken entirely at the user's own risk.

7.2 Prohibited conduct

 

You must not:

• Attempt to scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or reproduce any part of the Mave platform or its underlying technology

• Attempt to access any part of the platform beyond your own account

• Upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights

• Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation

• Circumvent any security or access controls on the platform

• Use automated scripts, bots, or other non-human means to access or interact with the platform

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations

7.3 Honesty in job applications

 

Mave generates application materials based on the information you provide. You are solely responsible for:

• Ensuring the accuracy and truthfulness of all information you upload or input

• Reviewing, editing, and verifying any AI-generated content before submitting it as part of a job application

• Any consequences arising from submitting inaccurate, misleading, or false information in a job application

Mave does not submit job applications on your behalf. You are the author of your application; Mave is a tool to assist you. Submitting a CV or cover letter containing false or misleading information is your responsibility and liability alone.

8. AI-generated content — disclaimers

 

Mave uses large language model technology (OpenAI) to generate tailored CVs, cover letters, gap analyses, and coaching feedback. You acknowledge and accept that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies and must always be reviewed before use

• The quality of output depends heavily on the quality and completeness of the information you provide

• AI-generated content does not constitute professional career, legal, or employment advice

• Mave does not guarantee that using the platform will result in job interviews, offers, or any particular career outcome

• Job listings displayed in the platform are sourced from public listings and third-party sources; we do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, or suitability

9. Intellectual property

 

9.1 Mave platform

 

All intellectual property rights in the Mave platform — including its software, design, prompts, algorithms, branding, and content — are owned by or licensed to Altair Tech Solutions Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the platform beyond the limited right to use it as a registered user in accordance with these Terms.

9.2 Your content

 

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Mave, including your resume and supplementary background information.

9.3 AI-generated output

 

All AI-generated output produced by Mave (tailored CVs, cover letters, gap analyses, chat history) is assigned to you. You own this content and may use, edit, share, and submit it freely.

We retain a limited, royalty-free licence to use fully anonymised, non-attributable patterns from generated output solely for the purpose of improving the Mave platform (for example, to refine our AI prompts). We will never share, publish, or use your identifiable content for any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.

10. Termination and suspension

 

10.1 Termination by you

 

You may delete your account at any time using the "Delete my account" option in the Account Settings panel within the app. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Any unused credits above £1.00 will be refunded to your original payment method upon request.

10.2 Termination by us — for cause

 

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we reasonably believe you have:

• Provided false or misleading information at registration or during use

• Used the platform for prohibited commercial purposes

• Attempted to scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy any part of the platform

• Engaged in fraudulent payment activity, including initiating illegitimate chargebacks

• Behaved abusively toward our team or support staff

• Violated any applicable law or regulation in connection with your use of Mave

In the event of termination for cause, all unused credits are forfeited and no refund will be issued.

10.3 Termination by us — without cause

 

We reserve the right to discontinue the Mave service or terminate user accounts without cause, subject to providing at least 14 days' written notice by email. In this circumstance, we will refund any unused credits above £1.00 to your original payment method.

11. Limitation of liability

 

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Mave is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the platform

• We are not liable for any service interruptions caused by third-party providers, including OpenAI, Supabase, Stripe, Streamlit, or Railway

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform — including loss of earnings, loss of job opportunities, or reputational damage

• Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount of credits you have purchased in the 3 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Changes to the service and pricing

 

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, add, or remove features of the Mave platform at any time

• Introduce new pricing tiers, subscription plans, or commercial packages for different user segments (including professional and recruiter tiers) in the future

• Adjust credit pricing or the cost of individual actions

Where any such change materially affects your existing use of the platform, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after that notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

 

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should delete your account before the effective date.

14. Dispute resolution

 

If you have a complaint or dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of Mave, please contact us first at info@mavejob.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 working days and attempt to resolve it in good faith.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of your initial contact, either party may pursue the matter through the courts of England and Wales, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.

15. General

 

• Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Altair Tech Solutions Ltd in relation to your use of Mave.

• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

• No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

• Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor business without restriction.
